Exploration Groups 2019-2020

Go deeper together as we explore our monthly themes.

Join an Exploration Group that meets once a month during the third or fourth week of the month for ninety minutes, September through May.

Groups are limited to about 10 people.

I never feel pressured to share more than I want and I love delving into the themes each month, even when I think it’s a theme I don’t care about or makes me uncomfortable. Learning to deeply listen to what others have to say really gets me thinking. It’s changed me.

Women’s Discussion Group

Please note that while you need to sign up to participate in this group, and attending the monthly sessions is encouraged, a full 10 month commitment is NOT required.  This is a spiritual discussion group using the Explorations method and monthly themes for anyone who identifies as a woman. So please, come and connect with us.

·      If you are looking for honest and open sharing, you will be supported.

·      If you are yearning to share deeply and intimately, you will be supported.

·      If you prefer to connect by listening more and share a little less, you will be supported.

·      If you are struggling, you will be supported.

·      If you need love and acceptance, you will be supported.

Loving Practices: Implications of Christian Texts

“I left Europe [for India] as a Christian, I discovered I was a Hindu and returned as a Buddhist without ever having ceased to be a Christian.” Raimon Panikkar

All are welcome--Christians and non-Christians-- to this practice (not discussion!) group that draws upon two of our Unitarian Universalist sources: “direct experience of…transcending mystery and wonder” and the Christian tradition, as expressed through some of its texts. We will use these texts as springboards for practicing love in our daily lives as Unitarians.  Rooting ourselves in mystery, we will work to increase our love for various aspects of ourselves; other humans; and other living beings.

* Please note that the last two groups listed are specialized groups.
